Along the Edge Arts Festival

Presented by MA in Cultural Management Programme, CUHK

Every place has its stories. Some are official, but most are private, ignored or regarded as insignificant. Some are grand and heroic, while others are sad or simply mundane, they could be real, but many consists of fabrication. These stories are important reflection of the cultural and social experiences of various groups of people. The domination and popularity of these stories are frequently a demonstration of power; the weak and the marginal cannot find their ways within the infrastructure to voice out their stories, as they are regarded as ‘insignificant".

"Along the Edge Arts Festival"  deals with the marginal and the forgotten. This year, we will look into the intimate stories being told by these forgotten groups of people, through various forms of cultural expressions, in order to show the other aspects of Hong Kong cultural and social experiences, and to tell the public the stories that also deserve to be heard of.
